Exegetical Roadblocks: The Millennial Reign

As we continue to look at the various elements of pop-eschatology in our attempt to rightly understand the Revelation that was given to John, we must deal with the notion of the millennial reign of Christ. How do we rightly interpret the thousand-year reign of Christ mentioned in Revelation 20:4? There are many competing views, and even more off-shoots within those views, but who is right? Rather than trying to answer such an inflammatory question, what if we simply examine all the possible interpretations and humbly acknowledge that none of us truly know the answer? There are aspects we will absolutely agree upon, and others where we may not, but in the end, what matters most is that Christ is coming back just as He left, and when He does, He will make all things new.
