Get Out of the Boat

Aug 9, 2020    Brad Haden

We end this study in the same place we started - in the midst of a storm on the Sea of Galilee. This time, however, Jesus had sent the disciples out before Him to the other side of the sea. But when Jesus came to them, in the fourth watch of the night, walking on the sea through the wind and waves, the disciples believed they were seeing a ghost. After Jesus assured them it was He, Peter cried out, “Lord, if it is you, command me to come to you on the water.”

Just as most would assume the boat was the safest place for Peter, modern skeptics will always question the steps we take by faith. The storms of this world will always swirl, but if our Lord calls us here or there, we can be confident of His faithfulness and get out of the boat.
